About us

 

 

The A.F.H.F is comprised of a group of individuals that Volenteer their time and persoanl funds to ensure a safe haven and a sancuary for the artic fox. Founded in 2010 by Micheal Alexanderson, and assisted by a group of 10 volenteers, we have been working in conjuction with the Wilderness Society, to ensure the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is protected from oil development, we are also attempting to ensure a haven within the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge just for the arctic foxes.

 

After witnessing first hand the senseless slaughter of these beautiful animals for their fur, and the inhumane treatment they have to endure to harvest their fur. We felt obligated to try and create a place for them in the wild where they are protected and safe from human interference.

 

We are currently busy registering ourselves as a NPO but it is sadly taking longer than we anticipated. We are eternally thankful for any donations or assistance given in our efforts to save these beautiful animals.
